Our New Year's Eve had us visiting our local nature reserve for a scooter ride and walk. We caught the day as it was ebbing away so my lens choice was spot on. My boys love the outdoors and this place is perfect for them, even our littlest member took a stroll. The horse was a particular interest as well as the multitude of sticks on offer on the ground. But, this trip was more eventful than normal because there was a buzz about the reserve. A Starling murmuration was taking place. It wasn't on the scale we had seen before but there was plenty of eager watchers that had gathered to see the small yet beautiful shapes they were making. Oos and ahs practise ahead of the equally eventful evening celebrations.
